We got nearly 3" of rain the other night and truly everything was soaked but no rain is predicted for quite some time again so back to watering. ::)

We got a six-hour monsoon Wednesday, and it must've rained in the night earlier today because I've got to sweep puddles out of the low-lying area of the carport again.  You're welcome to our incessant rain and I'll gladly take your drought.

I think if you have to have one over the other you'd rather have too much precipitation. I mean our crops up here are almost destroyed.

If I hear one more ol' f*rt say, "We sure do need some rain!" I'll tell 'em I hope they drown in it.   :P  We had another two mornings of house-shaking storms Saturday and Sunday.  I was so shocked to see that strange light glowing in the sky Monday at first I didn't know what it was.  Keep makin' that grass grow, you useless rain...

Heat wave again this week. Last week Thursday night in thundered and stormed from 9 p.m. to 3 p.m. Never witnessed a line of storms that lasted so long. I did NOT sleep and had to work the next day. Was not a happy Sandy.

My dogs NEVER were afraid of storms. Now Peanut and Scooter both are in a panic, Peanut on my chest, panting and shaking. Only thing I can figure is that sometime when I was at work and a bad storm hit, a bolt might have hit right by the house and scared the you-know-what out of them.

God bless Mr. Pauls. He's not affected by storms or fireworks.

We had a really huge storm pass through last night and he did bark once but the house was shaking from the thunder so it upset his little self.

Nice that we got a ton of rain. That's for sure.

Hope Hurricane Isaac doesn't cause any serious damage, feeling for those in New Orleans at the moment.

You likely to be affected Doug???

That's just what I was going to ask.  The TV is on at work and they just said that Gulfport is bracing to get hit.  Doug is about 1 inch inland on the map, so he's going to get wet for sure, but hopefully no major issues.  Let us know Doug, before your power goes out that you're ok.

Okay, somebody's got "Columbia" confused with "Columbus" again.  Columbia is down in the salt air district - I'm 250 miles inland from Gulfport.

Last I heard it's only supposed to be a Category 2 with winds "up to" 65 MPH.  Hopefully that means it won't get 300 miles inland like that Category 5 hateful b*tch Katrina did.  I "needs" my newfangled 'lectricity.  The hotels are all ready and waiting for the influx of coastal refugees.

The nimrods at the Weather Channel have caught unholy h*ll for a ridiculous statement they made about Isaac hitting "the land mass between Mobile (Alabama) and New Orleans."  Like Jonathan Goldsmith as The Most Interesting Man in the World on the Dos Equis beer commercials might say:

I looked up Columbia, not Columbus and it's an inch inland on the map!!  You're still gonna get wet, Honey.

Rain I can live with.  Trees down all over the power lines I can do without.  Seven years later, and I'm still wishing Katrina to H*ll.  If folks want to live on the beach of the Atlantic that's their dumb a**es.  Salt air and my vehicle frames don't mix, and the stinkin' ocean can stay outta my front yard nearly 300 miles inland from it.   >:(

I'll be tuning into Fox news later and watching the latest on Hurricane Isaac. Hopefully there are no major troubles but i do find it riveting TV. Fox is great at bigging it up. Great ,trash tabloid TV in it's most enjoyable form.
